Recipe of the month: Kiwi Burger
Ingredients
BURGER
- Burger buns
- Red onion thinly sliced
- Tomatoes
- Iceberg Lettuce
- Cheese
- Beetroot
- Eggs (fried)
- Mince
- 1/2 cup of Beadcrumbs
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire
- 1 tsp of Salt
- 1/2 tsp of Pepper
- 1 tsp of Tomato relish
- 1 tsp of Garlic powder
- 1 tsp of dried Oregano
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- ¼ cup Tomato sauce
- 2 tsp Sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp Granulated sugar
- 2 tsp White vinegar
- 1 tsp Pepper
Method
To make the burger sauce, combine all listed ingredients in a small bowl. Season to taste, then set aside while you prepare the burgers. In a new bowl add all of the patty ingredients and mix. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Cook with a little oil on a preheated BBQ, in a frying pan, or under the grill. Cook for 6 minutes before turning to cook the other side for a further 5-6 minutes. After that fry the eggs in a pan with a little butter.
Cut the burger buns in half and BBQ to toast or place under a preheated grill. Add a slice of cheese to one side halfway through toasting if you prefer melted cheese.
Finally, once all of the elements are ready to your liking, assemble the burger and enjoy!
